Tubes....
We have some NOS tubes but sorry, no 12ax7 or other high demand guitar tubes.  These are becoming scarce and supplies have been picked over for more than 40 years now.  So needless to say, the last batch of trick 12ax7 tubes I bought, I lost money on.  There are some honest, reliable dealers out there, the best being Angela Instruments (www.angela.com) so if you have the bucks to spend, seek you NOS glass from someone you can trust. NOS tubes do sound better and we are happy to test, install and bias them for you.  Mostly what we carry is Russian glass, E.H., Sovtek, Svetlana and Tung Sol.   We only carry stuff that we like the sound of and it has to be prove reliable.  What we’ve had problems with we don’t carry.  I’ve had 2 types of expensive (one retailed for $25) 12ax7 tubes last year that sounded fantastic but over half died in a few days.  For about 7 years now I’ve been in the habit of writing the date on each tube I install. When I see an amp again I can guage the lifespan of a tube.  The newest Tung Sol glass is proving to be my favorite. Reliable and sounds closest to the old tubes IMHO. More money than Sovtek but worth it. We stopped carrying the JJ and E.I. glass due to too many returns and duds.
